A traveler asks a witch to take away the grief he can no longer carry. When her ritual fails, she must confront what she has been keeping. The Lover’s Coin is a dark animated folk tale about love, grief, and the uneasy mercy of letting go.
Characters
The Traveler carries his grief to the point of exhaustion. He's stopped wanting closure. Now he simply wants the ache gone. Whether he has thought beyond that is another matter.
The Witch tends the dark water, the rituals, and the love she has refused to release. She knows how to guide through loss, though she has made an exception for herself.

The World
An October bog in the British Isles, where the ground gives way to black water and a small stone dwelling sits low beneath its roof of earth. Bog-cotton catches the last light. A lantern makes a little warmth against the gathering blue. Woven faces, frayed cloth, and a sky with the translucence of handmade paper give this world its texture.
